(Livesey 2014) poverty refers to lacking enough resources to provide the necessities of life—food, clean water, shelter and clothing. But in today’s world, that can be extended to include access to health care, education and even transportation. (World vision 2022). Poverty is when your resources are well below your minimum needs. ( Joseph Rowntree Foundation 2022) There are two main categories of poverty: Absolute and  relative . ABSOLUTE POVERTY. This definition is based on identifying the minimum conditions needed to maintain human life. According to Seebohm and Joseph Rowntree (1901) there is primary poverty- were individuals or families lack the means to provide the basic necessities of life, such as food,clothing and shelter.  2022 ZIMSEC A' Level Results Out. Results for the Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) examinations taken in November 2022 are now out. The council said they can be accessed on the ZIMSEC website from today 13 January 2023 from 1500 hrs.   CAUSES OF UNEMPLOYMENT IN ZIMBABWE By Wilbert Masamba. Unemployment in Zimbabwe has largely been caused by political factors though other factors contribute at a lower level. Economic Structural Adjustment Program the 1990’s less developed countries adopted the Neo-liberal policies upon the advice of the World Bank and the IMF in order to stimulate economic growth by increasing free trade, privatization stiglizt (1994). This created an economic catastrophe in most countries. This is because local infant industries were exposed to stiff competition from other external industries. Therefore, most companies were forced to retrench or downsize at least to remain viable and profitable. For instance, In Zimbabwe the SAPs divested the economy as industries retrenched, lay off and others shut down due to competition from international players. -1 child in 22 dies before their 5th birthday, 7 times the U.S. rate -24% of children suffer from  malnutrition -28% of children are engaged in child labor, instead of learning -21% of girls (ages 15-19) are married, and 1 in 12 gives birth -72% of people live in poverty(savethechildren.org) -lack of access to clean water -face domestic violence -lack sanitation -no access to mental health and psychosocial support -no access to formal or non-formal education, including early learning. -no access to n access primary health care - food insecurity -sexual exploitation and abuse -violence against children.
