CALA Context
Carrying out researches
using information gathering techniques to bring about solutions to problems and
summoning the know-how to deal with specific issues has been a challenge to
certain individuals in our communities and even amongst learners at+ school.
Learners sometimes fail to carry out homework assignments because they lack the
skills needed to gather information. Thus, many of them score lower marks, make
uninformed decisions, keep falling in old traps and do not succeed in life. A thorough research on the ways of gathering information
will therefore help bring about an end to this challenge.
CALA DESCRIPTION
To make you aware of
challenges faced during information gathering and how to reduce them.
- prepare questions that you are going to use in your
research on challenges faced in gathering information and to reduce them (10)
- carry out interviews with teachers and parents/guardians.
